The starting point: A paper-based process was to be digitised

Until now, customer signatures have been recorded manually in the shops of Würth Handelsges.m.b.H. Customer orders were processed, documents printed out and signatures obtained on paper. This process resulted in additional paper consumption and led to a large paper archive.

To streamline processes and reduce paperwork, the company decided to digitise the existing signature process and integrate it directly into its existing SAP system landscape.

The solution – the customer signs directly on the signature pad

Using r>it’s e-Sign Agent, Würth was able to integrate the signing process seamlessly into its existing workflow.
Once the customer order has been saved, the customer signs directly on StepOver’s signature pad in the shop. The captured signature is then added to the delivery note. This means the signature is integrated directly into the existing process, making paper printouts and the subsequent scanning unnecessary.

Würth was particularly impressed by how easily the e-Sign Agent could be integrated into the existing SAP landscape.

The partnership – reliable support from r>it

Würth’s collaboration with r>it was also a key part of the project. Particularly at the start of the integration process, there were a number of challenges involved in integrating the system into the existing IT infrastructure.

The combination of straightforward SAP integration and reliable support from r>it has confirmed that Würth made the right choice in partnering with them.
